Patent hand detachable lock action with hinged cover plate, side clips and removable strikers. Tang top lever and club head rib extension. Nice scroll pattern engraving often found on this model with maker’s name in banner. 26” barrels with full length matted rib, in addition to the calibre and maker’s name, the gun is engraved “Made Expressly for Lyon & Lyon Calcutta”. Splinter forend has Deeley catch and horn tip, right hand cheekpiece and engraved/case coloured heal and toe plates and checkered wood butt with drop points, a solid steel grip cap and extended trigger bow. Guns remains as new as refurbished, perfect bore.
