“Deluxe” version with a brushed finish and nice English scroll, maker’s name and model engraved on fancy back A&D box lock ejector action. Automatic safety is marked “SAFE” in gold. Very well made barrels retain virtually all of the original black and have Birmingham proofs. Top of the barrels are marked “Holland & Holland- The Northwood-13 Bruton Street, London”. A nicely figured walnut stock with checkered butt and splinter forend and an engraved gold oval marked “HGS”. Very high quality boxlock made by Holland & Holland after their acquisition of W&C Scott (formerly Webley & Scott) in the mid 1980’s. Only a few handling marks, barrels and action are excellent.
