Fantastic Cased Colt 3rd Generation Frontier Six Shooter .44-40 nickel plated manufactured 1984 at the Colt Custom Shop. Features highly polished nickel finish on black powder frame with 7 ½” barrel & 6 shot fluted cylinder with attractive rosewood grips. Crisp markings throughout with “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” roll marked on left side of barrel with Hartford address on top, 3 line patent date on frame & "44" marked on bottom of barrel just infront of the cylinder pin. This Colt is one of only 481 Model P-2971MN revolvers produced in this configuration in 1984 out of approximately 2,307 total production. Factory letter confirms configuration including the rosewood grips with silver rampant Colt medallions & Custom French fitted basswood display case with green velvet interior which is included along with Colt “Woodgrain” box with Custom Shop label numbered to the gun & all paperwork. Condition is like new with only minimal light handling marks, Nickel is excellent, rosewood grips are excellent & mechanically excellent; the display case is in excellent condition with minimal handling marks as well. This Colt would make a handsome addition to any collection.
