I WILL ACCEPT OFFERS ON ANY OF MY GUN LISTINGS Payment Types Accepted: Certified Check Money Order Personal Check Description: COLT 38-40 I ST GENERATION MADE IN 1878 5 1/2 inch barrel.it was origionally a 45 caliber the barrel and the cylinder were changed to 38-40. I contacted Colt and receved the letter for it but no evidence if it was done by Colt. It was origionally blue and is now a solft nickel finish, it was professionally done and after handling guns for 65 plus years I was shocked when I received my Colt letter. Something that 1 fund different on this gun is that the ejection rod is held in place below the barrel by a screw, it is the first generation which has a black powder frame, not the normal push in button on the side. The bore is in very good condition, trigger is very smooth, and has the origional sights and gips. Always have a older gun checked out by gunsmith to have it comfirmed it is safe to shoot. Sale is final no return. I have no control of what ammo will be listed in this gun. origIonally shipped to Schuyler, Harleyh and Grahm in NEW YOUR NY MAY 25 1878, with 50 other gunsl.
