Description:
Sale Pending. Reduced to $1300. Selling an “EMIL KERNER U SOHN” as marked on the barrels of this 16 gauge hammerless steel barreled side by side shotgun with auto ejectors and serial number 15812 that from the markings is a 1925 gun.
Krupp barrels measure 29 inches and appear to be choked Modified in the right barrel and Full in the left barrel. At the muzzle, they measure about 0.625” in the right barrel and 0.615” in the left. Has 2 5/8” chambers.
Has two triggers, auto ejectors, non-auto Safety, side clips, cross bolt and firing pin indicators.
It has a horn trigger guard, pistol grip cap and butt plate. From front trigger, stock measures 14 ¾” LOP, 1 ½” DAC and 2 ½” DAH. Cheek piece on the left side and sling swivels on stock and bottom barrel rib. Gun weighs 6# 4 ounces.
Has good bores with just barely noticeable very light etching in the bores. I would not call them pits. No dents. Have not measured wall thickness or bore diameters. Has most all the blue but thin in the breech area.
No cracks or splits in the wood with just a couple very light handling marks. There is an area measuring about 2 ½” wide by 1 ¼” high on the right side of the stock where someone has written their name in two lines. Looks to be mostly in the finish and not in the wood.
Barrel flats and water table marked with various proof marks, etc.
Looks to be all original throughout with attractive engraving on the receiver. Functions fine.
