Description:
colt pre-woodsman auto 22LR. Pretty much full engraving on receiver. carved grips. 6 5/8" barrel. Very high quality work. Unsure of who did the engraving. Was not factory engraved. Pistol is in 99% condition with deep dark blue. Beautiful gun in what appears to be a colt hardcase. The box of ammo is empty but will be included. I purchased a collection from a gentleman in his 80's. He said Wilbur Glahn engraved the gun. He had no proof of this, and the colt did not leave the factory as an engraved gun. Ask questions. Pictured in picture 1 is the hand written note from the previous owner. I have researched a little and can't find any proof of the engraver. No initials or markings that I can find. Welcome opinions from any expert on colt engraved woodsmans or glahn engraved guns. thanks.
