Description:
This is a Vintage, Von Lengerke & Antoine (AKA) VL&A of Chicago, branded Colt SAA holster. Perfect fit for a 5 1/2 inch barreled Colt SAA. (My Colt is not included) This was the famous catalog store of the 1890s through the late 1930s. VL&A hired the top makers of the day to do products for them and they put their name on them. HH HEISER made quite a few holsters for the VL& A label. This is a top of the line HOLSTER in BROWN leather. Waxed thread is used and all the edges are rounded and smoothed and coated for a professional look. The holster is marked on the front with VL&A CHICAGO logo. CONDITION is VERY GOOD, does show some surface cracking but no breaks, tears, holes or lose threads. The finish has very little wear. Color is original with the original luster. The leather is holding its shape and is alive. The stitching is tight. The logo is an EXCELLENT stamping, and clear. An great collectible and display piece and for your vintage Colt SA.
The BELT is a good match for color and vintage. The loops will except .41 Colt, .32-20, .38 Long Colt and has the caliber marked on it (.38) along with the catalog number (3587). The belt has no repairs but does have a couple of loose cartridge loops. Overall length is 40 inches.
