Description:
This is a very good condition older Iver Johnson's Champion Model single barrel shotgun in 20 Ga. Barrel is marked 12 GAUGE CHOKE BORE BARREL AND LUG FORGED IN ONE. Barrel length is 28 inches, and barrel and action retain some original finish (browning) but no rust or pits. Stock and forend retain most all original finish and are very good to excellent. This is a very nice little 20 gauge gun made back when they cared and the quality shines through. IT IS HOWEVER BEING SOLD AS A GUNSMITH'S SPECIAL as the spring arrangement which works the toplever appears to be inoperable and therefore the gun will not break open. It can be repaired but since I have lost my gunsmith (just retired at 84) I do not have time to mess with it. If you are a gunsmith, or know one, it will make a beautiful little 20 gauge gun. See photos. If it were operable I would want $275.00 for it. A dandy!
