Description: Colt Single Action Army .32 W.C.F Revolver Nickel, 1907 General Specs: Colt, Year 1907, .32 W.C.F, 4 1/2" Barrel, Revolver Serial Number: 288799 This is an original pre-WWI First Generation Colt Single Action Army (SAA) Revolver in a .32 W.C.F. caliber. The Colt Peacemaker Model 1873 was the mainstay of the Frontier. This one has matching serial numbers of 288799 manufactured in circa 1907. The revolver is a .32/20 W.C.F. caliber (the second least produced caliber available, rare) with a 4.75” barrel and nickel finish. Marked on left side of frame, "PAT SEPT.19.1871. JULY 2.72 JAN.19.75. (showing faintly the round logo with Rampant Colt inside)", marked on the underside of the frame and trigger guard “288799”, marked on grip frame “288799”, top of barrel is worn with only “(U.)S.A. –“ showing, and the back of the loading gate is marked with the assembly number “5105”. The piece shows the original set of black hard rubber grips that are checkered and have the Rampant Colt trademark in an oval at the top of the grip. The mechanics of the gun work well, with the cylinder locking properly in the firing position, half cock position solid, screws all in great shape. Barrel has strong rifling remaining with light frosting in the last half of the bore. Great little Colt from Montana....a piece of the Old West when things were still wild!
