Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine .44-40 wcf. The serial number of this example is 8483XX placing date of manufacture in 1917. Overall condition is excellent with 95% or signal untouched factory finish. The bore is excellent and will rate a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. The rifling is strong with a shiny bore from breech to muzzle. You will see some scattered fouling/leading as expected that should clean up with a good scrubbing with Hoppe's #9. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. The factory Walnut stock is gorgeous and free of any damage. The factory varnish remains at 100%. I am seeing 92 Carbines in this condition, in .44 selling for $6500.00 at the s now.
