Description:
This is a clean and complete US Springfield Armory Model 1922 M1 22 Caliber Training Rifle. The bore is bright with strong lands and grooves. The gun retains the matching bolt and traditional model 57 Lyman peep sight. The gun is in the 14xxx serial number range. The stock is struck with the Number 10 at the heal of the butt which was a rack mark. At some point the stock has been finished with what appears to be linseed oil. The only damage to the wood appears to be a small compression mark on the top side of the forend behind the barrell band. Original magazine goes with the gun. A sweet historical piece that will provide hours of entertainment as well as collectibility.
