Description:
Medwell & Perrett, Suffolk, England .416 Remington built on their own proprietary true magnum length controlled round feed action. 22" barrel with integral ramp front sight and integral quarter rib with single standing leaf. Topped with a Zeiss Diavari 1.5x4.5x18 scope with heavy post and fine crosshair in Talley lever detachable rings and bases. Three position side swing safety and trigger bow floorplate release. This is a true takedown with a coin slotted front action screw. Stocked in Manlicher style in exhibition Turkish Walnut wth dark marblecake figure. Pistol grip stock with a Monte Carlo butt, cheekpiece, ebony pistol grip cap, and a steel schnable forend tip. Sling swivels are quick detachable. Point pattern checkering with a mullered border that wraps the forend. 14 7/8" LOP over a 1" Limbsaver pad. 10lb 13oz as scoped. Medwell & Perrett is a small English gunmaking firm in Suffolk that produces a small number of high quality bolt and double rifles yearly. I understand that they are a husband/wife team. This is an outstanding and unusual piece in new condition. The scope has been previously mounted and does show use. A true split in the middle takedown.
