Enfield No.4 Mk I* manufactured by Savage
Offering this Enfield No4 Mk1 manufactured for the British by Savage Arms in Chicopee Falls, Mass. in 1943, the rifle bears serial number 43C9023. It is chambered in .303 British. The rifle has a very strong bore. Additionally, the exterior exhibits approximately 95%of the finish there is an outside chance it may be a refinish but its extremely well done if so. The rifle does exhibit the importers markings per federal law but the markings are lightly etched with 1/16" font on the left side of the receiver. Being a lend lease rifle it is stamped U. S. PROPERTY on receiver. The rifle has the Savage "S" stamps on bolt, trigger guard, butt stock, upper and lower bands, rear sight aperture, butt stock/receiver ring, front sling swivel, bolt handle. The rifle does have a non-matching bolt handle but it is a Savage bolt handle # 57C0079. The rifle also still has the correct Savage pewter butt plate. Yes, we can and do ship into California.
