Description:
Here is a scarce 1861 dated Springfield musket that is most likely Confederate used. The enfield bayonet came with the gun and patina seems to match the musket. It has three initials on back side and usually Confederates do this. Brown patina with pitting at breech abscuring the date. VP and eaglehead are visible. The bore is now smooth and very good. Good early civil war musket that is very desirable with this date.
