Additional Information:
This fine Ithaca Model Knick single-barrel trap shotgun came in from one of our local customers. It features a 30" trap / vent-rib barrel, beautiful grade stock set, original Ithaca buttpad, and finely engraved case-colored action. Serial numbers are matching throughout, and parts are reported to be and look original to the shotgun. Unique engraved panels include a sportsman in shooting stance and an American Indian in an archery shooting crouch. Serial number dates this to 1958.
Overall in excellent condition with on light mark on the underside of the receiver, a few small marks on the barrel, and some of the polyurethane coating on the stocks is starting to check from age. Action is tight and the trigger is light and crisp. Barrel bore is shiny, bluing is excellent, and no visible corrosion was noted. Wood looks to be excellent with no visible cracks - just the poly-coating checking. No choke listed.
Would make a handsome field or range gun or a fine addition to your collection.
