Description:

G&H # 313, circa mid 1920's.  This rifles manufacture predates G&H records but is estimated at 1925 & is in near new condition. Custom ordered for C. G. Goddard whose initials are inlaid in gold on the lever and is on record as the consignor in Abercrombie & Fitch book for resale in 1958.
This beautiful custom highwall built on a thickside action, 26” barrel in 250/3000 caliber, with 100% of the original rust blue on barrel and receiver, mounted with a base for G&H single lever scope rings .  Also mounted with a Lyman 103 wind gauge tang sight and an english style ramp frt sight.
Finely scroll engraved receiver, lever, tangs, around the banded ramp front sight, grip cap and buttplate.  Excellent engraving most likely the work of  Rudolph Kornbrath who was employed by G&H during this time. An entry in the later A & F records where it was consignedfor sale by C.G.Goddard,t indicate Fugger as the engraver who was associated with Kornbrath.  In either case the engraving is of the finest quality.
Stocked in beautiful darkly streaked walnut with finely checkered PG and FE with an ebony tip.  The rifle overall is in as new ORIGINAL condition.
