Built in the early 1960's these Model 59 Winchesters were an early effort to build a very light shotgun for hunting upland game. They accomplished this by making the barrels out of fiberglass, with a thin steel liner, and using an alloy receiver. Even with a full choke 30 inch barrel it only weighs around 6 1/2 pounds. This one is in nice original condition. It has been hunted with, but has been well treated. Both the receiver and the stock show some wear and a few scratches but overall it is in very good condition.
