Super condition with about 98% of the blue remaining. The loss is due to the usual muzzle wear, sharp edge silvering, as well as a little on the side plate and stock lug from the holster. There are also few light scattered pin pricks on the barrel. The grip straps are remarkably free of toning to gray.
All parts match including the magazine. The frame is proofed Crown/C, Crown/S, Crown/C, and Upturned Eagle. The bolt is also stamped upturned Eagle.
All strawed parts are at least 95%. The take down lever does have a few nicks on the edges but nothing serious. The wooden grip panels show almost no wear. No chips or splits only a few scattered flattened points.
The bolt face, slide rails and feed ramp are pristine.
The bore is mirror bright with scalpel sharp rifling. There isn't even a hint of frosting. The gun comes with one matching magazine, a proper wooden barrel handled cleaning rod and a scarce original artillery Luger holster in great condition.
When they stopped issuing wooden stocks some holsters were converted to belt loops and in doing so the markings got covered. This is one of them.
