Pair of T. Ketland & Co. Flintlock Trade Pistols 16-82
Cal. 62. Locks marked “T Ketland & Co”. Bbl. Marked “LONDON” on top flats w/deeply stamped proof marks on left side. Pin fastened walnut stocks w/”TC” markings on left ears. Brass side plates trigger guards, buttcaps, thimbles & single pipes. Top of wrists have brass oval nameplates. Hardwood ramrods. This pair is of Revolutionary Army War Vintage, and may have seen action in the Revolutionary. It is unusual to find a matching original pair of Flintlock Pistols, and rare to find the original dragon holster for both pistols. The barrels are proper length and markings for light dragon cavalry pistols. See George Neuman “Battle weapons of the American Revolution”, page 236.
  • Bbl. 8 13/16”CONDITION: cleaned metal w/sm. Spots of light pitting. Refinished stock has repaired cracks at side plate & tip areas. Dark bore w/scattered pitting.
  • Bbl. 8 9/16” UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES attached pair of black Dragoon style holsters in fair condition.
  • CONDITION: cleaned gray metal w/light pitting in breech area. Refinished stock has repaired cracks & breaks above lock, in side plate & forearm top areas. Bore shows spots of pitting.
