Most double gun enthusiasts are well aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of far superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use. From 1930 to 1980 they only made about 2900 twenty gauge guns in all grades. Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN. Here we have a fantastic, one-of-a-kind original (not CSMC) Winchester M21 in 20ga. that was shipped as a standard Field Grade with 28" M/F barrels. The barrels are as shipped in length and choke. It is hard to find 28" field choked M21's in 20ga. that haven't been messed with. Even harder to find is a M21 with ejectors and double triggers as this gun, SN11727, was shipped in 1937. The gun has been engraved to #6 with heavy raised Platinum inlays depicting dogs on either side and pheasants on the bottom of the receiver. LOOK CLOSELY AT THE SCROLL WORK, THE DETAIL AND WEIGHT IN THE ANIMALS. THIS ENGRAVING IS FAR SUPERIOR TO WINCHESTER CUSTOM SHOP WORK POST WORLD WAR II and any of the CSMC guns. The barrels have a 2 1/2" wedge of engraving as well. The forend is a factory original Hession style Deluxe forend from our inventory. The buttstock is a delightful English grip XXX black American Walnut with Deluxe style checkering and perfect wood to metal fit and checkered butt with great dimensions we built especially for this gun. What we have here is the ultimate Model 21 upland bird and sporting clays gun. With the English butt and diminutive Hession style forend it handles like a dream and looks rich and racy. This is a unique find and the favorite M21 I have had in our inventory for years. Housed in a custom fit, high quality oak and leather case with all the accessories and maker's label (worth over $1500 custom fit to the gun) it is a stunning Model 21 for your shooting and collecting pleasures. Offered at a very affordable price when compared to a Winchester factory engraved 20ga. or a CSMC reproduction M21, and frankly the workmanship is better than any you will find at twice the price.
