SPECIAL ORDER 1894 .32-40 CALIBER ROUND BARREL, HALF-MAGAZINE RIFLE WITH FACTORY LETTER, MADE 1902, the hardest of the Model 1894 calibers to find, this is a nice example with fine deep barrel blue, original buckhorn rear sight and Winchester blade front sight, right side of the receiver shows fine blue with gray mixing in the front half and fine blue on the loading gate, exc. blue on the bolt, left side shows most of the deep blue with edge wear to bottom and upper tang, exc. screws, still retains some good case color on the lever sides- more protected areas, still retains some nice blue on the forend cap, exc. wood with very tight wood to metal fit, a little better grade walnut than standard which was Winchester's policy on guns with special order features, tight action, slightly dark bore is excellent, factory letter included.
