Description:
L C Smith Field Grade 20 gauge SxS shotgun. Made in 1948. Perfect bores on the 26” barrels that are choked .004” & .012” which equates to skeet/light modified or simply stated: “bird 1 & bird 2” ideal upland game chokes over pointing dogs! The stock and beavertail forearm are not original but they were cut from a very nicely grained piece of walnut. The stock has a 15 ¼” LOP over a 1” pad, 1 ½” DAC and 2 ¾” DAH with a slight left hand cast. Double triggers, non-ejector, automatic safety. Metal finishes are faint but original; the barrels are about 50% thinning blue; the receiver has traces of colors otherwise faded to metal. Although this Elsie isn’t a high condition gun it is mechanically very sound and is a great bird gun. Weighs 7 lbs. 3 oz.
