SALE PENDING
Winchester Model 12 featherweight 12 gauge pump action shotgun. Circa 1961 someone had lots of fun having this gun converted into their “dream” gun. 30” full choke barrel was fitted with a donut/round post Simmons vent rib. The receiver, barrel and trigger assembly was profusely engraved with scroll and large inlays in hunting motifs. The left side has 3 mallards inlaid in “white” gold or silver and the right side has a hunter, a bird dog and a pheasant inlaid with the same material on a blued background. Custom wood was provided for an oversized/checkered forend and the stock was carved on the right side with a dog pointing a pheasant hidden behind a tree. The LOP is 14 3/8” over a ½” rifle pad, 1 ½” DAC and 2 3/8” DAH with slight left hand cast. Weighs 7 lbs. 7 oz. To call this model 12 fwt unique is almost an understatement but it is somewhat typical of guns engraved in Japan in the 1960’s.
