Description:
Very Nice Ithaca Model 4E Flues in 20 Gauge.  Serial# 249xxx ( 1913 Vintage).  I believe this gun was sent back to Ithaca and reconfigured into a 26" Skeet Gun.  Chambers have been let out to 2 & 3/4", appears the choking #'s on the flats of the barrels were nearly polished off and a large S stamped on the right barrel.  Not sure that means Skeet or what but they are now IC&IC.  I haven't attempted to letter the gun because I no longer deal with Cody for letters.  I can make out a very light 4 and a more visable 4 which tells me the barrels were at least 28", Full & Full.  Wood has nice figure with the #4 Fleur De Lis Checkering standard on Grade 4's.  No cracks in the Butt-stock and a couple small hairlines and one scratch that looks like a crack on the forend.  Some minor handling marks.  Checking appears to still be sharp.  Barrel Blue is 90% + and could have been redone when and if the work was done at Ithaca.  Looks to be Original Blue.  Case Colors on the Receiver are Original with 75-80% Coverage.  Trigger guard and lower tang blue is 15%.  Gold on the triggers is still strong.  Bores are excellent and the ejectors work just fine.  A real neat 4E that doesn't appear to have been used very hard.  Gun weighs 6.2 Lbs.  Priced to sell, FFL or C&R required.  Thanks for Looking
