Here is one of the ‘HOLY GRAILS’ of Winchester 1886 takedowns. The ultimate BIG BANGER. A WINCHESTER 1886 in the ultra RARE 50-100-450 EXPRESS! It does have an ‘issue’ – but not a bad one. The piece is ALL genuine antique WINCHESTER. It is ALL ORIGINAL finish on metal and furniture. It has about 80-85% real blue. It has some fair case on hammer and lever. The bore is fine original. It has special order and rear sights and a shotgun but. It is checkered with extra fine high quality fancy checkering although it is probably aftermarket. The photos tell the story. Fit is excellent and the action is crisp like new perfect. It shoots great and has killed game while in my possession. This is NOT a replica or restored gun - so here is the reason it is priced so apparrantly low. The caliber does not letter. My guess is that it may have been originally part of a two barrel set and the original receiver Was lost – stolen - damaged – who knows what happened over a hundred years ago? If it lettered - in the excellent condition you see here – it would today bring $20,000 ‘Monopoloy Money’ US inflated dollars all day long.
