Description:
Inglis Canadian Military Browning Hi Power Pistol and shoulder holster. Offering a very nice Browning John Inglis variant. This one bears serial 5CH9689 on the barrel, the frame and the slide. There are no import stamps on this pistol anywhere. This pistol accepts a 13 round magazine. Canadas primary sidearm for WWII. No documented idea on how the late previous owner came to acquire the package. The pistols finish is very good I’d say better than 85% original with some thinning in the front of the grip. The bore is very strong with good rifling throughout and shows only a very little frost or light pitting forward of the chamber which then diminishes towards the bore. The black grip panels are not cracked or broken. The left side of the slide is stamped MK.1* then below that is Browning FN 9mm HP Inglis Canada. Various acceptance stamps are also evident. Tangent sight with gradients from 50- 500 likely meters maybe? This pistol is being sold with its shoulder stock. The shoulder stock is not a reproduction and has an arrow as well as the number 57 within an oval. It is additionally marked S.A. Ltd 1944. BATF classifies this particular pistol as Curio and Relic per ATF P 5300.11 Firearms C&R List. Page 34 specifically.
