COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45 CAL. 4 ¾” REVOLVER CIRCA 1901 WITH ATCHISON, KANSAS FACTORY LETTER. Original all matching desirable early smokeless 1st. Generation with Colt letter stating it was shipped to Blish, Mize & Silliman Hardware Company, Atchison, Kansas April 30, 1901 as a blue .45 cal., 4 ¾” with stocks not listed in a 2 gun shipment. Atchison, Kansas is famous in Western history for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and as the home of the Kansas Jayhawkers during the Civil War. Very scarce Colt Factory letter shipping destination. Very good condition overall with excellent markings and serial number stamps. Crisp 2 line Colt barrel address. Old black lacquer overall except the hammer. Tip of cylinder pin re-knurled. Crisp working order and very good bore and chambers.
