Japanese Nambu Type 26 Rig, Cal. 8mm Nambu. Ser. 544XX.
This is the typical turn of the century revolver that was used by the Japanese through numerous wars in the orient, WWI up to WWII.
The remaining arsenal finish is about 85-95%. The only blue loss is found with some fine pinpricks on both sides of the muzzle. The balance of the gun is exceptionally clean.
There are no pits, rust spots, or flaking anywhere else. Naturally, the sharp edges a have silvered from holster wear. The hardwood grips have no chips or splits, just a few flattened points.
The bore, recoil plate, force cone and cylinders appear to have had very little use.
The gun locks up tight and indexes properly. The barrel is super bright with very sharp crisp rifling. Almost totally lacking any frost.
The gun comes with one original Type 26 holster in very nice condition. The only lost stitching seems to be around the front edge of the "clam shell".
The ammo pouch cartridge loops and cleaning rod tube are all intact.
It is a really nice rig and modestly price for the critical collector....... $995.
