Description:
Serial #6731, .25-20, 24” octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very nice little rifle that retains 80-85% of the still bright, original blue that has silvered along the high edges, projections, and along the magazine tube, as well as the top and underside of the frame. Small spots of plum-brown freckling have formed as well, but these are minor. The rifle is outfitted with a Marble's Sheard front sight mated to a modern fold-down tang sight (the original barrel sight is still installed). The walnut forend and buttstock are in fine shape with some minor surface scuffs and blemishes throughout the re-applied finish, although there is a small sliver missing from next to the tang on the right side. The action is tight and functions flawlessly. This is a super little Model 27S, and is in very good-fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
