(Projector Infantry Anti-Tank) is basically a man-portable, shoulder-fired spigot mortar using a large coil spring under tension to launch a charge-assisted, armor-piercing, shaped charge warhead out to an effective range of approximately 350 feet. The metal surfaces retain approximately 80-85% of the original brown paint finish with some flaking and scuffing along the high surfaces and projecting edges. The original leather wrapped pads are no longer present on the butt. The launcher is housed in an original wooden packing crate, with Greek Army markings, along with two spare springs and the original monopod. The crate also has an old Century Arms paper shipping label on the lid. This is a fantastic item for the WWII enthusiast, difficult to find with the original packing crate, and is in fine-near excellent condition overall.
