Description:
This classic rifle has excellent rifling and features a Lyman peep sight fitted to the bolt release. The proof marks indicate the gun was originally chambered for the 30-06 (7.62x63mm) and was at some later date professionally bored and rifled to the 35 Whalen (The Whalen is a 30-06 case widened to accept a 35 caliber bullet). The metric designation is 9x63mm. The Whalen cartridge is considered and excellent choice for any North or South American big game.
