This is a piece of history. During the second year of WW I the Tzar of Russia ordered 1,500,000 M1891 infantry rifles and bayonets from the Remington-UMC company.
During 1915-1917 Remington produced 840,310 M1891 rifles, of which 131,400 had arrived in Russia by January 1917.
After the war these rifles moved all over the world. American soldiers have been bringing these back as war trophies ever since then.
Even sporterized this rifle would tell a great story in anyone's collection.
