I have for sale a very pretty little 28 gauge which was built by AYA for Westley Richards and shipped to them in the white to be sold under the name of Fredk T. Baker. From my research I found out Westley Richards purchased FT Baker company in 1913 and used their name on some guns up until 2000. They purchased guns in the white from AYA and then regulated, fit, engraved, and finished the guns under the Baker name. This is one of those guns and as you can see by the pictures it is of very high quality. These guns carry the Birmingham proof marks and the only making from AYA is when you remove the sidelocks it is stamped on the inside. In any case, this particular gun has 27 inch barrels with fixed chokes of .012 very light modified and .021 full. Gun has all the bells and whistles you would expect on a gun of this quality, articulated front trigger, disc set firing pins, hand detachable sidelock, drop points, straight grip, splinter forend, cocking indicators, checkered butt. Very nice game scene engraving on the sidelocks and nice scroll work on the bottom of the receiver. All screws are pristine and don't appear to have ever been turned. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 5/16 X 14 3/4 over a nicely checkered butt. Weight of the gun is 5 pounds 8 ounces and it is cast off for the right hand shooter. I would say the gun is in 98% condition with only a couple of very light handling marks. Price of the gun is $4500 plus $50 for shipping. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned. Contact me with any questions you might have.
