Description:
We are offering for sale a Smith & Wesson PRE-Model 27 chambered in .357 Magnum caliber. This is an EXTREMELY SCARCE 5 screw, 5” barrel version in original box. Gun is in 98% condition with original numbered grips. This revolver was manufactured sometime between 1954 and 1955.
5” barrel is excellent with only the slightest but of muzzle wear; Top edge checkering. Gun does not look like it saw much action at all. Frame is excellent with extremely minimal wear; Markings are as crisp as they can be. Cylinder shows very light turn line; Locks up tightly. Grooved front and backstrap; Original numbered grips in MINT condition. Gun actions flawlessly; As good as the day it was manufactured.
Original box is in very good condition. Corners are intact. Later period rust-free paper included.
