Description: Marble Game Getter Model 1908 .22/44. This Game Getter Model 1908 is a ~Super Rare~ Game Getter! The barrel is a special order and measures 6 1/2 inches, and both barrel bores are rifled. The top barrel is the usual .22 Long Rifle chambering, but the bottom barrel is super rare because it is rifled and chambered for the .44-40 cartridge. This is a pretty neat little Game Getter and the hard rubber grip panels with its fluer de lis checkering gives it a Victorian look. The break action pistol is in pretty decent shape overall, it's an honest 65% gun. The photos gives a good accurate view of the condition of the metal and of the grips. Condition: First the bores, the .22 bore has some pitting, light to some average size cavities. The .44 bore has very minor pitting, tiny little spots here and there. The rear leaf sight on the right side is broken off, but the rear sight locking device works! The grip panels: There are a couple of small chips along the bottom edge of the grips; and there is a sliver of a piece missing from the right panel. If you are viewing this pistol on Cabela's Gun Library , click onto the "View Larger" button, when the popup window appears click on the photo showing the right side of the pistol, next use the "Zoom In" button, click on it twice for maximum zoom. Now look for the top rounded part of the grip panel, specifically the right side at the bottom of the rounded edge and the inside corner. You should see where the right side of the rounded top is not completely round like it is on the left side. The zoom feature on Cabela's supersizes the photos!
