Here we present a Smith & Wesson Model 1 Third Issue Revolver. This little .22 rimfire short, 7 shot pistol was the third issue of S&W’s very first cartridge firearm, beginning the company’s dominant role in small arms production from 1857 to present day. The Third Issue was made from 1868-1881, and was a perfect pocket gun whether you were in a big eastern city or a western boom town.
This fantastic piece comes with a letter from the Smith & Wesson factory confirming the serial number. An excellent piece of provenance!
