WW2 GUADALCANAL IDENTIFIED MARINE CORPS M30 HELMET. All original with the original liner. Old red painted dome inscribed “U.S./MARINES/GUADALCANAL/AUG.7-DEC.9/1942” and with pre WW2 cover Eagle, Globe and Anchor. Original liner and strap. Underside of rim stenciled in old yellowed white paint “3-H-11” for Third Battalion, Headquarters Company, 11th. Marine Regiment. Also stenciled in same paint n”30”. White collection tag from the 1980’s states it belonged to Sgt. J. Harris, Chief Radio Operator. Absolutely original in every respect and a rare Guadalcanal early Pacific War Marine helmet.
