Most experts will agree that the Japanese made Varmintmasters are the best vintage guns and that the 26 inch barrel is tops.
Gun is 100% original and weights 8 lb. 5 oz. as shown.
All of the bright streaks on blueing is light refflection.
Purchased in 1979 the gun is pristine but for a couple of small marks on the stock (see pictures). It comes with a new 30 mm. custom gloss Leupold VX3 4.5-14X40-LR variable scope and Leupold rings and custom bases. Gun has never seen field use and only low range hours with less than 400 rounds fired. Scope is bore sighted only and rifling is sharp.
The scope is a factory replacement (2015) under Leupold's lifetime warranty. It replaced an aging 1971 AO gloss finish scope. For some reason, Leupold chose to put the name and description of the old scope in the box.
Gun ships in a hard plastic case and FedEx outher packaging. No insurance loopholes.
