Description:
Optics perfectly clear as new. A nice pair of Civil War era Binoculars made of brass & leather covered. Marked NAVAL OFFICER 3 X 5 0. Measures approx 4 1/4" when fully extended. All metal parts are black enameled. The binocular body is covered with leather wraps. Overall, in very good condition, with bright clear image and only minor expected wear to original leather and body with some paint worn on brass. These high quality binoculars are in great working condition, both lenses are clear and they focus nicely. The binoculars are equipped with the original leather strap. An excellent addition to any collection. Similar examples are illustrated in Davis book "Commanders of the Civil War".
