Antique Colt 1862 Police Revolver .38 CF Conversion
.38 Centerfire Cartridge Converted Colt
Here we present an antique Colt 1862 Police Revolver. This line of pistols was produced from 1873 until 1880 and saw about 10,000 made. These pistols were assembled by Colt using parts from older Model 1849 revolvers (you will notice the “.31 Cal” stamp on the trigger guard, when in reality, the gun is in .38 centerfire). They were both converted and made originally as cartridge guns.
This example bears a very clear stagecoach holdup scene roll engraved on the cylinder. It also maintains a little of its original finish. This model came from the factory with no loading gate and no ejector rod.

Barrel is round and 3.5 inches in length. 9 inches overall length.
