Antique 1863-1873 Remington-Rider Double Action New Model Belt Revolver
Scarce Remington Pistol!
Here we present an antique Remington-Rider Double Action New Model Belt Revolver, made from 1863-1873. The New Model Belt began production as a percussion pistol, but was quickly adapted to metallic cartridges. The factory conversion of a percussion pistol to cartridge involved machining out part of the frame, as well as machining the cylinder and fitting it with a special cap (as seen in the photos).
This specimen is numbered 4524 of 5,000 pieces. Like other Remington pistols of the time, no corners were cut and this is a solid, well-made pistol.

Barrel is round and 6.5 inches in length.
