Description:
This 38-55 Win Marlin Model 336 lever action carbine rifle has a 15/16" to 5/8" x 20" blued tapered round barrel that is fitted with an adjustable rear sight and a bead front sight. The bore is very good. This gun was re-bored from 30-30 caliber to 38-55. Stamped on the left side of the barrel is The Marlin Firearms Co. North Haven. CONN. U.S.A. Est. 1870 Micro-Groove Barrel Mod. 336. On top of the barrel just ahead of the adjustable rear sight is stamped 38 55. The P grade Walnut butt stock with pistol grip and pistol cap and forend are in good condition. Features Marlin's Bullseye on the bottom of the buttstock. The metal finish on the action is a high gloss finish with matte finish on the top. Serial number is 2XXXXXX1. Length of pull is 13-1/2". Factory wood to metal fit - made by The Marlin Firearms Co. Condition: Good.
