Built ~ 1909 this London gun was built at the pinnacle of the Edwardian era when the best of the very best of the London gun-makers and craftsman produced their historically outstanding work.
James Woodward is considered among the very top of the very best London makers. The name to be hallowed with Boss, Purdey, and Holland. The reason you might not be familiar with them is they built very few guns. I suspect less than 6000 of their own shop built guns.
Usually priced from 12 -20K we can offer this Woodward at a great price as it has newer barrels mono-blocked (sleeved) in the British trade, and done very well. The gives one the opportunity to have one of the best London guns at a price where one can comfortably enjoy it afield.
Woodward had a trade mark of deep chiseled arcaded fences and our gun shows them off extremely well with the walnut stock extending to their base. Take a look and learn what an "arcaded" fence looks like.
Note the single trigger, great for our late season snowy pheasants when gloves are a necessity.
