Description:
One original WWII Japanese grenade launching cartridge. Loaded with a wooden bullet.
I have heard these called "last Ditch" as in the Japanese were reduced to using wooden bullets.
Or that they were training blanks. In reality they were used to fire rifle grenades,
each rifle grenade had one of these rounds packed in the tail.
The grenade was unpacked and the cartridge removed and used to fire the grenade.
A very uncommon cartridge.
Nice patina, no heavy corrosion, case not cracked or split. Bullet not loose.
A nice sound cartridge.
