Beautifully Engraved and Cased with Accoutrements
Here we present an antique cased Belgian Folding Trigger Pinfire Revolver, made circa 1850. The pinfire cartridge is one of the very first self-contained cartridges in the world, and was developed by Casimir Lefaucheux in the 1830s. The cartridge was so well received in Europe that many iterations of his design was licensed to other companies and other countries throughout the rest of the century.
This example bears both German and Liege proofs. It is especially eye catching with its engraving and inlaying.

Bore is in great condition and all parts mechanically functional, except the trigger return spring, which is a common repair for these guns.
