Chambered in Scarce .30 Rimfire!
Here we present an antique Remington Saw Handle Deringer (also known as the Vest Pocket Pistol), made from 1865-1888. This is an example of the scarce .30 rimfire cartridge Vest Pocket. Only about 15,000 of these guns were made in total over the 23 years of production.
This single shot pistol is very simple in mechanics. Place the hammer in the most rearward position, flip down the loading gate (which also acts as the rear sight and has a small bump to act as an extractor), and load a cartridge.
The inside of the right grip panel is inscribed with the initials “L.W.P.”
