Winchester Hi Wall Special Sporting Rifle, 40 65 WCF, 28 #3 oct. bbl., original open sights, exc. straight grip stock & checkered forend, 70% bbl. blue starting to turn brown, some light pitting near the muzzle, traces of casehardening on the receiver, rest turning a dark gray patina, early long tang crescent buttplate, good bore with some pits but should not affect the accuracy, this cal. is very rare & also rare with the straight grip checkered stock, factory letter states gun was shipped in 1890.
