Description:
For sale is an Inland M1 Carbine Type 1 WWII with a barrel date of 11-42. The barrel is marked Inland Mfg. Div. General Motors 11-42. The receiver is marked Inland Div. 94956 U.S. Carbine Cal. 30 M1. It also has the Inland stamp on the side of the trigger housing under the wood. The carbine has the correct high wood, narrow barrel band, carrect sights, Type 1 oiler cutout in the stock, and a 30 round magazine marked M2. The stock is marked with a P in a circle on the bottom of the pistol grip and the flaming bomb in the stock sling cutout. There is also what looks like IO in the cutout. The slide is marked PI in a circle and the bolt is marked IO. The trigger is marked RI. The only part I see that isn't Inland is the hammer which is markedd SG. The bore is good with strong rifling and the action seems to be in very good condition. There are a few marks on the wood and some freckling on the metal but still a very nice early carbine.This is a great piece for the military collector.
