Engraved Greener Double Barrel 10 Gauge Hammer Shotgun serial number 16,XXX manufactured 1878. Made for gun maker & gunsmith J. Robson of Buffalo New York. Top of Barrel marked, “W. W. GREENER. ST. MARY’S WORKS BIRMINGHAM. MADE FOR J.O. ROBSON. BUFFALO N.Y.”. Single bead front sight on solid rib, 31 ¾” Damascus barrels, 2 5/8” chambers, choked cylinder, 14 ¼” LOP. Overall in good condition for its age, right barrel has a small dent on top towards front sight, frame has good engraving, stocks have scattered dings & scratches throughout with a repair to the right side of the hand grip. Barrels show moderate pitting. Nice piece of history being made for a well-known gun maker & gunsmith of that era.
