Description:
Serial #54642, 38 S&W, 4” barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a few hints of freckling within the grooves. This is a rather handsome revolver that retains about 95-97% original nickel finish with a few scattered surface scratches, a light turn-ring on the cylinder, and some small spots of darker freckling along the sides of the barrel and topstrap. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, latch, cylinder, and extractor. The hammer and trigger still retain robust case-hardened colors with some pewter gray fading. The correct, checkered hard rubber grips are in very good-fine shape with some light scratches and handling marks as well as some mild flattening of the points. The mechanics, timing, and lock up are all excellent and the barrel to frame fit remains firm. These are fairly uncommon revolvers and this is a very nice example that rates very good plus-fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
